Concerned Citizens to Host Common Core Forum

On November 20, 2013, concerned citizens of several rural districts including Morris and Unadilla Valley will host an informational forum at the American Legion in Morris, NY. The event will take place at 6:30 pm.

Guest speakers include two experienced and knowledgable teachers from the Utica area. The forum will focus on issues surrounding the Common Core State Standards and will include topics such as excessive testing, modules, stress in our kids and teachers, opting out of testing, the collection of our children’s private information, and where our tax money is being spent.

This event is open to parents, teachers, grandparents, students, and taxpayers from any district. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
